Ich möchte meine Diasammlung digitalisieren. Zur Zeit informiere ich mich noch, um zu einer Kaufentscheidung zu kommen, welches Gerät ich verwenden möchte.
Als Bedingung soll gelten, dass die Bilder mit IPTC Daten versehen werden sollen. Ich möchte die Katalogisierungsdaten im Bild gespeichert haben und nicht in einer separaten Datenbank, da nach Systemwechsel über Jahre die Zuordnung kaum sichergestellt werden kann.
Bis jetzt kenne ich nur das jpg-Format, wo diese Daten gespeichert werden können. Dieses Format ist nach meiner Kenntnis nur für 3 x 8 Bit definiert. Somit hat man nur einen eingeschränkten Kontrastumfang. TIFF gibt es mit 3 x 16 Bit, doch da kann man mit EXIFER keine IPTC Daten eingeben.
Kennt einer eine Lösung, wie man maximale Scanqualität mit IPTC Daten verheiraten kann?
Ist bei einer Speicherung im jpg-Format die Diskussion, welchen Kontrastumfang der Scanner hat, nicht sinnlos?

Es gibt diverse Lösungen, wie man das macht. Zuerst mal die teueren der Reihe nach: Fotostation mit der Color Factory (ein paar Tausend Euro), Photoshop, Caption Writer und Silverfast Studio.
Und nun die bezahlbare Variante: Am besten kommt man mit ThumbsPlus7 (www.cerious.com) zurande. Das Programm ist sehr günstig und gut. Man kann sogar Massenbeschriftungen von 16-Bit Tiffs vornehmen oder die Bilder drehen etc.

ExifTool (kostenloses Perl-Script) - http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/ kann das unter Windows und Linux und mit ein bißchen Scripting, könnte man auch Daten von einer Datenbank in die Fotos übertragen. Man darf sich aber vor Kommandozeilenbefehlen nicht schrecken. Es funktioniert mit jpg, tiff und weiteren Formaten. Ich kenne nichts besseres für Metadaten-Manipulation von Bildern
