Hello,
I have a problem with scanning slides (using Digitdia 6000 and Cyberview):
a lot of scans are more blocky at the left side. The blockiness is uniform from top to bottom but the starting position (left to right) differs from scan to scan. It is not always present. jpg or tif or the DPI makes no difference. I have tried different usb-cables.
What could be the problem here?

Re: Digitdia 6000: problem with pixellation
Scanning direction horizontal? Problem occurs intermittently?
Looks like a problem with the stepper motor / gear. The gear may be dirty and needs cleaning / lubrication.
For an extreme example look e.g. here.

Ok thank you, I will look into it.
The scanning direction is horizontal indeed.

Re: Digitdia 6000: problem with pixellation
I checked the gears and moving parts and reapplied grease but also noticed the flat cable on the sensor wasn't inserted entirely straight.
The problem is gone now.
Thanks for the help!
