You are buying a scanner with a 24-month warranty.
After 8 months ( 600 scans), the scanner shows problems and is shipped back to the factory
After 4 weeks, scanner returns, free repair. Scanner OK.
2 months and 700 scans later same problem again.
Back to manufacturer.
Free repair. Scanner OK.
2 months and 600 scans later same problem again.
The same scanner is put in order each time.
Asking what’s done to make the scanner ok, the reply is only:” hardware repair”, no other comment.
I fear my problem will continue until the warranty period is over and then I will be left with a faulty scanner.
I feel like I'm falling into a trap with my eyes open.
The manufacturer solves my problem every time, but never permanently.
I do not receive an answer to my question for another scanner.
What are my options?

Because there a big differences between the "legal warranty" and the warranty from the manufacturer.
The "legal warranty" (in Germany) will be extended by the time the scanner was for repair by the manufacturer.

I live in belgium. The warranty is 24 months for private individuals throughout the European Community.
The time from shipping to and back to me is approximately 4 weeks.
The period would be an extra 3 months at best.
Hopefully I will get it back within 14 days.(shipped at the beginning of this month)
I will then make 700 scans again as soon as possible and see what happens again.
But what if things go wrong again afterwards?
