how to clean lens in super coolscan 5000ED

I have a brand-new Nikon super coolscan 5000 ED. After two weeks of use I have a little hair on the side of every slide. It seems to be stuck inside the scanner near the lens. There is no way I can clean there because the lens seems to travel along the slide while scanning and is subtracted when the scanner is in rest or turned off. Please don't tell me I have to part with this baby to send it to the nikon repair already........ Greetings and i hope there are some english speakers under this forum's members with some cleaning tips or advice. Bye the way I am from Holland and I can read German pretty well, so an answer in german is welcome too.....
