Sorry to write in English, but I couldn't find other scanner forum.
Can you tell me whet's the difference between Canoscan 9000F and 9000F mark II? I checked they data and they looks the same.
I have a chance to buy a 9000f and I will be able to scan my medium format films. I hope it will have enough good in quality and sharpness...

Hello,

there is a test report here at ScanDig. It is in German but you might try to translate it with Google. The bottom line is that, according to Canon quoted in the report, the hardware of both scanners is the same. There is a difference in the software, which comes with the scanner, and in energy consumption. The mark II model has an energy saving mode.

An important point is the resolution. According to the test, it resolves only about 17% of the nominal quoted resolution, i.e. 1700 dpi instead of 9600dpi!

Hello,

i wanted to thank you for all the information. It helped me alot as well.
I was looking for a good scanner, for a relative of mine. A friend of mine showed me a test report,
about the 9000F Mark II. He found it on "link wurde durch Admin entfernt".

Glad to have another opinion about the scanner. Maybe it will be of use for someone else.
Thank you for opening that discussion here. :D

have a good day,
